StepStone Family & Youth Services, part of BrightSpring Health Services, is hiring a full-time Foster Care Licensing Specialist in North Atlanta, DeKalb County to help build safe, loving homes for children in foster care. About the Role
As a Foster Care Licensing Specialist with StepStone Family & Youth Services in North Atlanta, DeKalb County, you will be central to our trauma-informed, youth-centered mission. You will recruit, guide, and prepare foster families so that every child involved in foster care has access to a stable, nurturing, and secure home. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on building genuine connections and championing the wellbeing of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage prospective foster families across the North Atlanta and DeKalb County community.
- Support and coach foster parents throughout the licensing journey.
- Prepare families to deliver safe, consistent, and caring environments for youth in care.
- Apply a trauma-informed, youth-centered approach in all interactions with children and families.
- Foster trusting, lasting relationships with families and the children they serve.
Qualifications
- A compassionate, relationship-focused mindset and a sincere commitment to children and families.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for guiding and encouraging foster parents.
- Understanding of, or genuine interest in, trauma-informed and youth-centered care.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in the North Atlanta, DeKalb County area.
