The University of Chicago is hiring a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator 1 - Pediatrics in Chicago, Cook County, to help advance pediatric clinical trials within the Department of Pediatrics. This is an on-site opportunity to support studies that move promising therapies from the lab toward better care for children.

About the Role

As a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 in Pediatrics, you will join the BSD PED Clinical Trials Office supporting Allergy and Immunology research at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Cook County. Working alongside investigators and clinical teams, you will provide the day-to-day coordination that keeps pediatric studies running smoothly, compliant, and patient-centered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the operational activities of pediatric clinical trials within the Allergy and Immunology program.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up while supporting families throughout each study.
  • Collect, enter, and maintain accurate study data and source documentation.
  • Support adherence to study protocols, regulatory standards, and institutional review requirements.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and research staff to ensure timely, high-quality study execution.

Qualifications

  • Interest in or experience with clinical research, ideally in a pediatric or academic medical setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for working with research teams, patients, and families.
  • Ability to follow protocols and contribute to a compliant, ethical research environment.
  • Comfort working on-site in Chicago, Cook County, in a full-time capacity.
