Psychiatrist Outpatient Clinics Part Time

Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for its Outpatient Clinics in Detroit, Michigan, to deliver expert clinical leadership across community behavioral health services. This role offers an experienced physician the chance to shape psychiatric care for the residents of metro Detroit.

About the Role

As a part-time Psychiatrist for Outpatient Clinics at the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWIHN), you will serve as the Clinical Psychiatrist for the organization's Direct Outpatient Clinics. Working under the general direction of the Chief Medical Director and the Vice President of Direct Clinical Services, you will provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for outpatient behavioral health programming across the Detroit area. This is a part-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Clinical Psychiatrist supporting DWIHN's Direct Outpatient Clinics.
• Offer medical direction and clinical guidance for outpatient behavioral health programs.
• Contribute to the planning and coordination of psychiatric services within the outpatient setting.
• Provide supervision and clinical input for behavioral health program operations.
• Collaborate with the Chief Medical Director and the Vice President of Direct Clinical Services on care delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician qualified to practice as a Psychiatrist in the State of Michigan.
• Clinical experience in outpatient or community behavioral health settings.
• Ability to provide medical direction, planning, and supervision for psychiatric programs.
• Strong collaborative skills for working alongside clinical and executive leadership.
• Availability to work on a part-time basis at clinic locations in Detroit, Michigan.
