About the Role
This is a full-time, solo contract (1099) position operating both tanker and end dump trailers on local routes out of Merit, Hunt County. You'll run a day shift schedule with no driver load or unload responsibilities, averaging roughly 2,000 to 2,800 miles each week. Reported gross pay averages $1,500 to $2,000 weekly. The rotation runs six days on with one day off, and drivers are home at least three weekends every month.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely haul materials using tanker and end dump trailers on local routes.
- Complete daytime delivery runs while maintaining a clean driving record and compliance standards.
- Manage pre- and post-trip inspections and keep accurate logs.
- Operate as an independent contractor handling your own business and tax obligations under a 1099 arrangement.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Comfortable running both tanker and end dump equipment as a solo driver.
- End dump experience is a plus and works in your favor during hiring.
- Military driving experience is welcomed and considered an advantage.
- Willing to work as a 1099 independent contractor on a six-day local schedule.
