About the Role

As the Environmental Health Supervisor within the Public Health service area of Deschutes County Health Services, you'll help advance the department's mission to promote and protect community well-being. Working on-site in Bend, you'll oversee environmental health initiatives delivered across a wide range of community-based settings, contributing to a Health Services organization that supports more than 400 staff across Behavioral and Public Health programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support environmental health staff carrying out Public Health programs and field activities.
• Direct day-to-day operations that safeguard the health and safety of residents throughout Deschutes County.
• Coordinate environmental health services delivered in diverse community-based settings.
• Collaborate with the broader Public Health service area to improve and protect the health of the people served.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure programs meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Background and experience in environmental health or a closely related public health discipline.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership capability.
• Knowledge of public health practices and community-based service delivery.
• Ability to work effectively across varied community settings within Deschutes County.
• Strong communication and organizational skills suited to a full-time, on-site role in Bend.
