About the Role
As an Assistant/Associate Research Professor of Surgery, you will help build and advance the statistical infrastructure of the Surgical Outcomes and Quality Improvement Center (SOQIC, www.soqic.org). Working alongside SOQIC investigators, you will lead sophisticated analytical efforts that support funded grants and research projects centered on improving surgical outcomes and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct complex statistical analysis for surgical research studies and externally funded grants within SOQIC.
- Collaborate closely with investigators in the Department of Surgery to design rigorous, methodologically sound research.
- Grow and strengthen the statistical and analytical programs supporting the Center's portfolio.
- Contribute statistical expertise to scholarly publications, grant submissions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Advanced training and demonstrated expertise in biostatistics or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Proven ability to lead statistical methodology on multifaceted research projects and grant-funded work.
- Experience partnering with clinical or surgical investigators in an academic medical setting is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach suited to a multidisciplinary research environment.
