About the Role
As a Cosmetology Lab Assistant with Minnesota State, you will provide essential day-to-day support inside the cosmetology laboratory. Working closely with faculty, you help maintain an organized, safe, and well-stocked space so that classroom instruction and practical training can proceed without interruption. This position is based in Shakopee, Scott County, and is not eligible for telework.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, organize, and break down workstations, tools, and supplies for cosmetology coursework and demonstrations.
- Assist instructors during lab sessions and help guide students through practical exercises.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment, stations, and the overall lab to meet health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of products and materials and flag items that need restocking.
- Support general lab operations and other duties that keep the learning space functioning efficiently.
Qualifications
