About the Role
As a Catering Captain in Bowling Green, you will be the on-site leader who keeps every event running smoothly. Based at BGSU (1001 Wooster Street, Bowling Green, OH 43403), this hands-on hospitality position with Compass Group, North America puts you at the center of catered functions, guiding the service team and ensuring each guest leaves impressed. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with shifts that flex around the needs of the business — additional scheduling details will be shared during your interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of catered events at Bowling Green State University.
- Direct and support catering staff to deliver attentive, professional service throughout each function.
- Coordinate timing, presentation, and guest needs to bring each event to life seamlessly.
- Uphold quality, safety, and hospitality standards across every shift.
- Adapt to varying shifts and event demands as business needs change.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, and/or a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced service setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts that vary with the volume and scheduling of events.
- A guest-focused attitude and commitment to high-quality service.
