About the Role
As a Freelance Design Assistant, Wholesale Apparel based in New York City, New York, you will partner closely with the wholesale design team at Premier Brands Group Holdings, helping bring seasonal collections across denim, women's apparel, and jewelry from concept to market. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a detail-oriented creative who thrives in a fast-paced fashion environment and wants hands-on exposure to the wholesale apparel design process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist designers throughout the development of wholesale apparel collections, from initial inspiration through final production-ready styles.
- Prepare and organize design materials, including sketches, color references, trims, and fabric swatches.
- Support the creation and upkeep of tech packs, line sheets, and design boards.
- Track samples and coordinate communication between design, development, and production partners.
- Research emerging trends, fabrics, and styling directions across denim, women's apparel, and jewelry categories.
Qualifications
- Background or coursework in fashion design, apparel design, or a related creative field.
- Working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills for a team-driven studio setting.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in New York City, New York.
