Behavioral Health Clinician – Psych – Child Ambulatory

Cambridge Health Alliance is hiring a Behavioral Health Clinician to join our Child Ambulatory Psychiatry team in Harvard Square, supporting the mental health of children and families across our community.

About the Role

As a Behavioral Health Clinician within the Psych - Child Ambulatory department at CHA Cambridge Hospital, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-informed clinical care to young patients in an outpatient setting. This is a part-time, union-represented position (Union of Social Workers) scheduled at roughly 20 hours per week, with a hybrid structure that includes days and occasional evenings, plus in-person presence across Cambridge and Massachusetts sites as patient needs require.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family behavioral health assessment and therapy to children in an ambulatory care environment.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs.
• Coordinate care alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and the broader multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with department standards.
• Adapt scheduling to support patients during day and evening hours, both on-site and through hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or comparable behavioral health credential in Massachusetts.
• Background in social work or clinical mental health, ideally with experience serving children and families.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, hybrid outpatient model with flexible day and evening availability.
• Willingness to travel to Cambridge and other Massachusetts locations for in-person care as needed.
