About the Role
As a Secondary Cafeteria Assistant, you will support the daily operation of the school kitchen under the direction of the cafeteria manager. You'll contribute to the general work and management of food and nutrition services, and you'll be prepared to step in and take charge of the cafeteria's responsibilities whenever the manager is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with the general work of the school kitchen as guided by the cafeteria manager.
- Help coordinate and manage food and nutrition services throughout the school day.
- Cover the duties and responsibilities of the cafeteria manager during their absence.
- Support a clean, organized, and welcoming cafeteria environment for students and staff at West Middle School.
Qualifications
- A reliable, cooperative attitude and a willingness to follow direction from the cafeteria manager.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced school kitchen and food service setting.
- Ability to take initiative and assume leadership of cafeteria operations when needed.
- Commitment to supporting student nutrition within a secondary school community.
