About the Role

As an Environmental Scientist on the NEMCON team, you will help safeguard the operations of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by supporting day-to-day waste management activities at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Working alongside a multidisciplinary group of environmental professionals, you will play a hands-on part in ensuring that waste handling and disposal practices meet rigorous regulatory and mission standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to waste operations across the Kennedy Space Center campus.
• Assist with the characterization, handling, and proper disposition of waste materials.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations and NASA requirements.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to keep waste management processes running safely and efficiently.
• Document activities accurately to support reporting and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• An active security clearance is required for this position.
• Background or education in environmental science or a closely related discipline.
