The Grayson School District is seeking an experienced instructional leader to serve as Director of Secondary Education in Leitchfield, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to shape teaching and learning across the district's secondary schools.
About the Role
As Director of Secondary Education, you will plan, organize, and oversee the instructional programs that support secondary-level students throughout Grayson School District. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will guide curriculum and instruction while coordinating several district-wide initiatives that drive student achievement and educator growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of secondary education instructional service programs.
- Direct curriculum, instruction, and professional development efforts across the district.
- Serve as the District Assessment Coordinator and oversee testing and data practices.
- Coordinate the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to meet the needs of all learners.
- Manage High Quality Instructional Resource selection and implementation.
- Oversee responsibilities tied to the School Report Card and related accountability measures.
- Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications
- Valid certification appropriate for an administrative role in secondary education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, and assessment.
- Experience leading professional development and supporting educator effectiveness.
- Strong organizational, communication, and program-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and district administration.
