About the Role

As a Mobile Railcar Repair Technician, you will travel to client sites and field locations to inspect, service, and repair railcars where they sit. This is a full-time, on-site position in Marshall, ideal for a dependable technician who thrives outside a fixed shop environment and enjoys solving mechanical challenges on the move.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mobile inspection, maintenance, and repair of railcars at customer and field sites.
• Diagnose mechanical and structural issues and complete repairs to applicable rail industry standards.
• Support transloading operations and related railcar servicing as needed.
• Document work performed, parts used, and inspection findings accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance during on-site work.
• Coordinate with the team and clients to deliver timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in railcar repair, heavy equipment, welding, or a closely related mechanical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret repair specifications and technical guidelines.
• Comfort working in a mobile, field-based role with travel to various job sites.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work on-site in Marshall (this role is not remote).
