Guidehouse is seeking a Workforce Transformation Associate Director to join our State and Local Government consulting practice in Sacramento. This is a full-time position designed for an experienced leader ready to drive meaningful organizational change through innovative HR and workforce solutions.

What This Role Involves

As a Workforce Transformation Associate Director at Guidehouse in Sacramento, you'll lead strategic initiatives for public and private sector clients navigating complex workforce challenges. Your focus will center on designing and implementing people-centered strategies that bridge HR capabilities with broader organizational objectives. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping government agencies and private organizations build workforces capable of executing their core missions and long-term strategies. Travel up to 50% of the time is required for this consulting role.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with public and private sector clients to understand workforce challenges and organizational goals
• Design comprehensive workforce transformation strategies that align HR function and capabilities with mission-critical business outcomes
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement people-centered solutions that drive measurable organizational impact
• Develop strategic recommendations spanning organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and change leadership
• Build and maintain client relationships, serving as primary point of contact for ongoing strategic work

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in workforce strategy, organizational development, or related management consulting roles
• Proven success leading complex transformation initiatives and managing cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of public sector operations, particularly state and local government environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Graduate degree or advanced professional certification preferred
• No security clearance required for this position
