Welder L1 – 1st shift

Steele Solutions is seeking a dedicated full-time Welder L1 for the 1st shift team in South Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. Join us as a key contributor to precision welding and structural assembly operations.

Role Overview

As a Welder L1 on our 1st shift team, you'll play a vital role in our fabrication operations. Working under the guidance of your Fabrication Supervisor, you'll take on welding assignments that demand precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Your work directly impacts the structural integrity and performance of our finished products.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute welding operations on metal components using various welding techniques and equipment
• Assemble and fit structural forms and assemblies according to detailed technical blueprints and specifications
• Inspect work in progress to verify proper alignment, dimensions, and weld quality before final assembly
• Maintain a clean, organized work station and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to create a secure fabrication environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards

Who We're Looking For

• Proven welding experience, with certification or demonstrated competency in applicable welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently high-quality work
• Physical capability to work in a fabrication environment, including standing for extended periods and handling materials
• Reliable and dependable—ready to work the 1st shift schedule consistently
• Safety-conscious mindset and willingness to adhere to all workplace safety standards
