About the Role

As a VP-level Senior HR Business Partner at Axos Bank, you'll bridge human resources and business strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives and department heads. This role combines strategic workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and hands-on partnership to solve complex people challenges and support the bank's growth and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth across the organization
• Partner with C-suite executives and business leaders to assess organizational needs, identify talent gaps, and design solutions that drive performance
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with business budgets and market conditions
• Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention initiatives to build bench strength and succession pipelines
• Guide organizational design, restructuring, and change management efforts with sensitivity to business impact and employee experience
• Ensure HR policies, practices, and programs comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Champion employee engagement, wellness, and culture initiatives that strengthen retention and workplace belonging
• Manage employee relations and resolve complex workplace issues with judgment, confidentiality, and fairness

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior business partner or director-level role
• Deep expertise in compensation and benefits, employment law, organizational development, and talent management
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into HR initiatives and measure impact on organizational outcomes
• Experience leading HR teams and collaborating effectively with executive leadership
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment compliance requirements and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Strategic mindset combined with attention to operational detail and employee advocacy
