VP Assistant Controller

Grand Circle, a globally recognized travel company headquartered in Boston, is seeking a VP Assistant Controller to join its finance team in South Boston, Suffolk County. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support critical financial operations for an organization serving millions of Americans.

Position Summary

You'll serve as VP Assistant Controller at Grand Circle, partnering with the Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. Grand Circle designs transformational travel experiences for American explorers, operating through a network spanning more than 45 cities worldwide. In this role, you'll ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of accounting processes that support the organization's mission and growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Direct daily accounting operations and financial reporting workflows
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and account records
• Supervise accounting staff and manage departmental priorities
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the Controller on financial planning and strategic initiatives
• Review and authorize accounting transactions and entries
• Enhance accounting systems and operational processes

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• CPA license or active pursuit of certification strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
• Solid command of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise financial systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Commitment to precision and accuracy
