Parexel is hiring a Vice President, Project Leadership in Douglas, Juneau — a senior leadership role for an experienced clinical operations executive ready to shape how global drug development programs are delivered.
About the Role
As Vice President, Project Leadership at Parexel, you will provide strategic direction and executive oversight across a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring studies advance on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Based in Douglas, Juneau, this full-time, on-site position places you at the intersection of operational excellence, client partnership, and team leadership within a leading global Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire project leadership teams responsible for executing clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas and trial phases.
- Set the strategic vision for project delivery, aligning operational plans with client objectives and program milestones.
- Serve as a trusted senior point of contact for biopharmaceutical partners, strengthening relationships and supporting business growth.
- Drive accountability for study timelines, budgets, resourcing, and regulatory compliance throughout the trial lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop project directors and managers, building high-performing teams and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in clinical research project leadership, ideally within a CRO or biopharmaceutical environment.
- A proven record of directing complex, global clinical trials from design through delivery.
- Demonstrated executive leadership skills, including team management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making.
- Strong working knowledge of clinical trial operations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing capabilities.
