Safety-Kleen is hiring a Vacuum Route Driver with a Class B CDL to deliver waste management services across our Kenilworth, New Jersey territory. This full-time position offers the independence of managing your own route while providing essential services to industrial customers throughout the region.
About the Role
As a Vacuum Route Driver, you'll operate a specialized vacuum truck to service customers who depend on professional waste disposal. You'll build lasting relationships with automotive repair shops, quick-lube facilities, and other industrial businesses while ensuring their operations run smoothly. This is hands-on work that directly impacts customer satisfaction and Safety-Kleen's reputation in the market.
What You'll Do
- Operate a vacuum truck with manual transmission on an assigned service route
- Pick up industrial waste from automotive shops, oil change facilities, and similar commercial customers
- Transport collected waste to designated disposal sites safely and efficiently
- Manage your daily route schedule to maximize service coverage and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of pickups and services rendered
- Uphold Safety-Kleen's safety and quality standards on every job
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (ability to operate manual transmission; no CDL restrictions)
- Experience driving commercial trucks or heavy equipment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Professional customer service approach and communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility
- Reliable transportation record and willingness to pass background screening
