About the Role
As our UX Designer, you'll take ownership of product experiences that empower learners worldwide. Your work will directly influence how millions of people engage with education, making complex subjects more accessible and intuitive. You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and instructional designers to create solutions that drive both learning outcomes and user satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Design user interfaces and interaction flows for digital learning platforms and educational tools
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation to inform product decisions
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate vision and intent
- Collaborate across teams to translate user needs into elegant, functional product experiences
- Contribute to design systems and patterns that ensure consistency across Cengage's platforms
- Advocate for users throughout the product development cycle
What We're Looking For
- Proven UX design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating digital product work
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and research methodologies
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills with attention to detail
- Experience presenting designs and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Passion for education and improving learning outcomes is a plus
