Underwater Inspector/Diver

Join WSP USA as an Underwater Inspector/Diver in Conestee, Greenville County, South Carolina. As a full-time underwater inspector/diver with our growing dive team, you'll conduct critical underwater inspections for major infrastructure projects while advancing your career at one of the world's leading engineering firms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our new Greenville office launching in 2025.

About the Role

WSP USA is opening a new office in Conestee to expand its Underwater Inspection and Diving Services in the Southeast region. We're seeking experienced underwater inspectors and divers to join our specialized team and take on meaningful work on critical infrastructure. You'll perform underwater surveys, structural assessments, and detailed inspections on projects throughout the region, working in diverse water environments while contributing to the safety and integrity of essential public infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Conduct systematic underwater inspections of bridges, dams, pipelines, tunnels, and other infrastructure
• Document underwater conditions through photography, video, and detailed notes for engineering analysis
• Assess structural integrity and identify issues requiring further engineering attention
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports for review by senior engineers
• Maintain strict compliance with diving safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Operate and maintain specialized diving and inspection equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution
• Stay current with advances in underwater inspection techniques and safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Current commercial diving certification or equivalent credentials (SCUBA, surface-supplied, or saturation diving experience)
• Proven experience in underwater inspections or subsurface infrastructure assessment
• Strong technical knowledge of inspection methodologies and structural assessment principles
• Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in challenging underwater conditions
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork abilities
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed for project assignments
