West Hills Community College District is seeking a Tutor for Adult Education at our Lemoore College campus. This temporary position with continuous recruitment offers an opportunity to support adult learners in achieving their educational and academic goals.
About the Role
As a Tutor in our Adult Education program, you'll provide direct support to students seeking to improve their academic performance. Working under supervisor direction, you'll deliver both scheduled and walk-in peer tutoring services to help adult learners strengthen their skills across various subjects and competencies.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular tutoring sessions with students to strengthen their academic foundation
- Offer walk-in tutoring support to students seeking immediate assistance
- Work with adult learners from diverse educational backgrounds and experience levels
- Develop personalized approaches tailored to each student's learning needs and goals
- Monitor and track student progress over time
- Collaborate with instructors and college staff to align tutoring with course instruction
- Maintain records of tutoring sessions and student outcomes

Position Details
This temporary position with continuous recruitment is available up to 24 hours per week, year-round (12 months annually). The hourly rate is $16.00 per hour. You'll be based at our Lemoore College location as part of West Hills Community College District.
