TSS/Instructional Aide

K-12 Therapy is hiring a full-time TSS/Instructional Aide to provide in-home academic support and personal care for an autistic student enrolled in a cyber school program in Muhlenburg Park, Berks County. This is a hands-on instructional role where you'll make a direct impact on a student's learning and daily success.

About the Role

As an Instructional Aide with K-12 Therapy, you'll work 30 hours per week during the student's school day in their home environment. Your role combines academic coaching, behavioral support, and personal assistance as the student participates in remote coursework. You'll help facilitate learning activities, provide one-on-one attention, assist with transitions between lessons, and maintain a structured, supportive atmosphere that enables the student to engage fully with their cyber school curriculum.

What You'll Do

• Support the student through daily cyber school instruction and academic activities
• Provide personalized prompting and reinforcement tailored to the student's learning style and needs
• Assist with organization, materials preparation, and technical setup for online classes
• Offer behavioral guidance and sensory support as needed throughout the school day
• Document progress and communicate regularly with parents and the K-12 Therapy team
• Help the student develop independence and self-regulation skills

What We're Looking For

• Current FBI and BCI criminal background clearances
• Current child abuse clearance
• Experience working with autistic students or children with developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and patience with school-age learners
• Ability to work independently in a home setting while following program guidelines
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided at federal rate)
• Professional, dependable, and flexible approach to supporting student success

Compensation and Schedule

This full-time position offers $27.50 per hour plus reimbursement at the current federal mileage rate.
