Bauer Design Build
Bauer Design Build is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations across multiple project locations in Michigan and Missouri. This is a full-time position based in Wayzata, Hennepin County, requiring relocation to active job sites throughout the construction lifecycle.
About the Role
As a Traveling Superintendent with Bauer Design Build, you'll manage the complete day-to-day execution of construction projects, serving as the primary on-site leader responsible for coordinating teams, maintaining schedules, and delivering quality work. You'll travel between assignments in Monroe, Michigan (September start), Walker, Michigan (March start), and Springfield, Missouri (May start), bringing consistency and expertise to each phase of construction.
What You'll Do
- Direct all construction activities and coordinate the scheduling and performance of trade contractors
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with project specifications and building codes
- Identify and resolve site challenges, design conflicts, and workflow obstacles to keep projects on track
- Maintain rigorous safety protocols and foster a culture of safety awareness among all site personnel
- Manage project documentation, progress reports, and communication with project stakeholders
- Oversee job site conditions, material management, and equipment coordination
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent or site foreman
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling, and project management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety compliance and continuous improvement
- Ability to travel and relocate for the duration of project assignments
- Familiarity with construction documentation and industry standards
