Traveling Project Director- Aviation

About the Role

J.E. Dunn Construction Company seeks an experienced Traveling Project Director for our aviation construction division. You'll take ownership of project delivery from planning through completion, providing on-site leadership at active aviation construction sites. This role combines strategic management with hands-on project oversight, requiring frequent travel to job locations across the country.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all project phases for aviation construction work, from preconstruction through completion
• Lead and mentor project teams including supervisors and craft personnel
• Manage project schedules, costs, and resources to achieve performance targets
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and government agencies
• Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance on all project sites
• Address project challenges and implement solutions while on-site
• Travel to multiple project locations for direct project management and team leadership
• Document project progress, maintain records, and report on project status

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience managing construction projects in aviation or similar industries
