J.E. Dunn Construction Company is hiring an experienced Traveling General Superintendent (Mega Projects) to lead large-scale construction within our Advanced Facilities Group, based out of Waco, McLennan County, with travel to project sites nationwide.
About the Role
As a Traveling General Superintendent on mega projects, you will provide on-site field leadership for some of the most complex builds in J.E. Dunn's Advanced Facilities portfolio. This is a full-time, travel-intensive position headquartered in Waco, McLennan County, with assignments that may take you to active job sites across the country. It is well suited to a seasoned construction professional who thrives on directing major efforts from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day field operations on large, advanced facility construction projects from mobilization through completion.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and self-perform crews to keep work on schedule and on budget.
- Champion safety standards and quality control across every phase of the build.
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain progress.
- Travel to and lead work at project locations nationwide as assignments require.
Qualifications
- Extensive superintendent experience on large-scale or mega construction projects.
- Strong background in advanced or technical facility construction is highly valued.
- Proven ability to manage field staff, subcontractors, schedules, and safety programs.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and relocate to project sites.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
