Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse

GLC On-The-Go is hiring a Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Alton, Illinois, offering $2,146 per week for skilled RNs ready to deliver exceptional cardiac monitoring care starting July 20, 2026.

About the Role

This full-time travel nursing position places you at the heart of continuous telemetry and cardiac monitoring at a facility in Alton, Illinois. You'll work 12-hour shifts — 36 hours per week — over a 13-week contract, making it an outstanding opportunity for experienced telemetry RNs who want competitive compensation and career-broadening clinical experience in southern Illinois.

What You'll Do

• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms via telemetry equipment, identifying arrhythmias and escalating changes in condition without delay
• Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring step-down or cardiac monitoring, including those recovering from cardiac events or complex medical diagnoses
• Partner with physicians, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary teams to implement and adjust individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments in strict accordance with facility protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Respond decisively to telemetry alarms, rapid response calls, and acute changes in patient status
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, medication regimens, and discharge expectations

What We're Looking For

• Current, unencumbered RN licensure — Illinois state license or compact license accepted
• Active BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred for telemetry practice
• Hands-on experience in a telemetry, step-down, or monitored cardiac unit
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
• Sharp clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record platforms used in acute care settings
• Availability to commit to a 13-week contract beginning July 20, 2026
