About the Role
This is a travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) care in Atlanta, Georgia. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, with an ASAP start date, scheduled at 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts. You will work alongside surgeons, perfusionists, and perioperative staff to support cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures from preparation through recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.
- Prepare the surgical suite, instruments, and equipment for CVOR procedures.
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after cardiovascular operations.
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes throughout each case.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold sterile-field standards.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Georgia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing.
- Availability for 12-hour day shifts totaling 36 hours per week.
- Readiness to begin the 13-week assignment as soon as possible.
- Flexibility, strong communication, and the adaptability that travel nursing demands.
