What This Role Involves

This role involves providing critical care in a Cardiac/Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). As a travel nurse RN, you will work 13 weeks with a 36-hour weekly schedule and 12-hour night shifts. The primary responsibilities include managing patients with complex cardiac conditions, administering medications, performing advanced life support procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Evaluating and monitoring critically ill patients in the CVICU
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Performing advanced life support procedures such as intubation, defibrillation, and mechanical ventilation
• Assisting with patient transfers and ensuring safe transport to other areas of the hospital if needed
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals in developing and implementing care plans for patients
• Documenting all patient interactions and treatments accurately in medical records

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you must possess a current RN license, along with a CVICU specialty certification. Additionally, you should have experience working in an intensive care setting, particularly with cardiac patients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for this position.
