About the Role
As a Transmission Specialist supporting Transmission Engineering at FirstEnergy's Holmdel, Monmouth County location, you will contribute to the planning, analysis, and reliable operation of high-voltage transmission infrastructure. FirstEnergy operates more than 24,500 miles of transmission lines that link the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, and this on-site position helps keep that system safe, dependable, and performing at the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering studies and technical evaluations for transmission systems and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining the safety, reliability, and operational performance of transmission facilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects that strengthen the regional transmission grid.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical input that advances FirstEnergy's commitment to operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Background or interest in transmission engineering, electrical systems, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities applied to high-voltage infrastructure.
- A safety-first mindset and dedication to reliable, high-quality work.
- Availability to work full-time, on-site at the Holmdel Office in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
