Role Overview

The role of a Traffic Controller involves directing traffic efficiently and safely by using stop/slow signs, hand signals, and other control devices around work zones. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining traffic control systems such as signage, cones, and barriers to ensure safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Direct Traffic - guiding vehicles and/or pedestrians using stop/slow signs, hand signals, and other control devices around work zones.
• Traffic Setup and Maintenance - installing, maintaining, and removing traffic control systems including signage, cones, and barriers.
• Communication - confidently using two-way radios to stay in contact with the team and respond to emergencies as needed.

What We're Looking For

• A strong understanding of traffic safety protocols and procedures.
• The ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Prior experience in a related role is preferred but not required.
