About the Role
This summer internship positions you at the heart of our district's media and broadcast operations. You'll work alongside experienced technology professionals to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot audio and video systems that support classrooms, events, and district communications. This is a chance to gain practical, real-world experience in a fast-paced educational environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of audio and video equipment for school events, assemblies, and broadcasts
- Support live streaming and recorded video production projects across district facilities
- Help maintain and test audio/video hardware, cables, and peripherals to ensure reliable performance
- Troubleshoot common technical issues and document solutions for future reference
- Learn industry-standard software and tools used in educational broadcast and media production
- Collaborate with technology staff and staff across departments to meet media needs
- Perform equipment inventory, storage organization, and basic maintenance tasks
What We're Looking For
- Current enrollment or recent graduation from high school; enrollment in a technical or media-focused post-secondary program preferred
- Genuine interest in audio/video technology and media production
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and reliable work habits
- Willingness to learn new systems and ask questions
- Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting, standing, and moving equipment
- Basic computer proficiency
