Technology Service Desk Student Assistant

Join Berklee College of Music as a Technology Service Desk Student Assistant, a part-time position based in Boston, Suffolk County. About the Role

This student employment opportunity offers hands-on experience in technology support within a vibrant music education environment. Working as part of our IT Service Desk team, you'll gain practical experience troubleshooting technology issues, managing support requests, and assisting with computer lab operations. This is an ideal role for students who enjoy helping others and want to develop IT support skills while pursuing their studies.

What You'll Do

• Respond to technology support requests from students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in-person visits
• Troubleshoot common hardware and software issues with computers, audio equipment, and network connectivity
• Document and track support tickets through our IT management system
• Assist with computer lab setup, maintenance, and equipment inventory
• Provide guidance on Berklee's technology resources, systems access, and IT policies
• Help maintain a welcoming, solution-focused environment for all campus technology users

What We're Looking For

• Current Berklee College of Music student enrolled at least half-time
• Basic troubleshooting skills and a genuine interest in technology support
• Strong communication abilities and patience when working with diverse users
• Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests
• Customer service mindset and willingness to learn
• Availability for part-time hours that fit your academic schedule
