About the Role
This internship provides hands‑on experience in the technical design process, working closely with senior designers to turn concepts into production‑ready garments. You’ll gain exposure to industry‑standard tools and workflows while contributing to real projects that support Cintas’ uniform and apparel offerings.
What You'll Do
- Assist technical designers in creating detailed tech packs that specify materials, measurements, and construction details
- Prepare garment samples for fit reviews and help document feedback for revisions
- Annotate digital photos of prototypes to highlight design elements and areas for improvement
- Produce technical sketches using vector illustration software to communicate design intent
- Support pattern making activities by checking patterns against specifications and noting adjustments
- Help maintain and cleanse product data within the Yunique PLM system, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to keep timelines on track and ensure quality standards are met
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in fashion design, technical design, apparel engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating technical sketches and editing images
- Basic understanding of garment construction, fit evaluation, and tech pack components of tech packs
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable learning new software; prior exposure to any PLM system (such as Yunique) is a plus
- Effective communication skills and a team‑first mindset in a fast‑paced environment
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
