Team Leader

About the Role

As a Team Leader at Tractor Supply Company in Buellton, you'll serve as a key partner to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, helping drive day-to-day store performance across operations, sales, and merchandising. You'll be on the floor leading by example, delivering the exceptional service Tractor Supply is known for, and fostering a workplace where every Team Member can do their best work safely and productively. This position pays $17.15 – $20.05 per hour depending on experience.

What You'll Do

• Support store management in executing operational priorities, sales goals, and merchandising standards
• Deliver and model a best-in-class customer experience on every shift
• Lead and motivate Team Members during daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment that meets company standards
• Assist with inventory processes, stocking, and product placement to maximize in-store presentation
• Address customer questions and concerns promptly, resolving issues with professionalism
• Communicate company goals and expectations clearly to the team and hold standards during manager absence

• Prior retail or customer-facing experience, with at least some exposure to a supervisory or lead capacity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable leading a team and engaging customers
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced store environment
• Availability that supports a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
