Hormel Foods is seeking an experienced Team Leader for our Algona, Kossuth County facility. In this full-time supervisory role, you'll lead a dedicated team while contributing to the operational success of a Fortune 500 food manufacturing company committed to quality, safety, and employee development.
About the Role
As Team Leader at our Algona operation, you'll serve as the bridge between frontline team members and facility management. Your focus will be ensuring consistent team performance, maintaining high standards of safety and product quality, and creating an environment where your team members can succeed and grow.
What You'll Do
- Lead, supervise, and develop team members, providing coaching and constructive feedback
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to company standards
- Communicate clearly with your team about expectations, goals, and operational changes
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all workplace safety protocols
- Coordinate with other departments and management to support overall facility performance
- Support training and onboarding for new team members
- Track and report team metrics and performance data to management
- Address performance issues and implement process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, operations, or a similar fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions independently
- High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing or food production experience valued
