We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader for our Air & Terrestrial Sciences team. This role will be based in Invercargill, Southland, with no remote working options. Responsibilities Lead a team of scientists and researchers focused on air quality and terrestrial ecosystems Develop and implement strategies to monitor and manage environmental impacts Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and environmental management practices Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective environmental stewardship Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements What You Bring A degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in air quality management or terrestrial ecology Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to sustainable environmental practices About the Company Environment Southland operates across a large geographical region, from Stewart Island to Fiordland.
