[What you will be working on]
We are looking for a Systems Engineer (Physics & Simulation) to build the high-fidelity physical foundation of our Digital Twin platform. You will be responsible for ensuring that our virtual environments — from turbulent sea states to complex airflow around urban infrastructure — adhere to rigorous physical laws. Working with NVIDIA Omniverse and Open Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD), you will bridge traditional engineering simulation with real-time interactive environments to support operational planning and decision-making.
-
Develop high-fidelity physics environments in NVIDIA Omniverse using OpenUSD, with a focus on maritime hydrodynamics and aviation aerodynamics.
-
Implement and tune rigid-body dynamics, fluid solvers, and multi-physics constraints to accurately replicate real-world asset behaviour.
-
Optimise complex mechanical and geospatial 3D assets — including vessels, aircraft, and infrastructure — for real-time physics computation without compromising accuracy.
-
Integrate ArcGIS GeoAI workflows to ingest geospatial data, converting 2D maps and 3D city layers into simulation-ready OpenUSD environments.
-
Apply spatial analysis techniques to define boundary conditions for physics simulations, such as coastal topography for wave impact modelling or urban canyon geometry for drone turbulence analysis.
[What we are looking for]
-
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related computational discipline.
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience in physics simulation, spanning CFD, FEA, or high-fidelity game physics.
-
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with practical experience using the NVIDIA Kit SDK or comparable simulation frameworks.
-
Solid understanding of OpenUSD layering, composition arcs, and schemas.
-
Familiarity with geospatial data formats — including raster, vector, and point clouds — and their application in physics-based simulation environments.
-
Experience with simulation tools such as Ansys, OpenFOAM, or specialised maritime and aviation solvers.
Good to have
-
Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Drive Sim.
-
Ability to write custom shaders or physics plugins for real-time engines.
