Career Team is hiring a full-time Systems Analyst to join its growing technology and operations team in Denver, Colorado — supporting a workforce development organization dedicated to helping job seekers achieve lasting employment across the United States.
About the Role
As a Systems Analyst at Career Team, you will serve as the critical bridge between business operations and technology. You'll evaluate existing platforms, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate complex stakeholder needs into clear, actionable system requirements — all in service of a mission that directly impacts people's lives.
What You'll Do
- Gather, document, and prioritize functional and technical requirements from cross-functional stakeholders including case managers, trainers, and job developers
- Analyze current workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical, scalable solutions
- Develop clear specifications, process diagrams, and user stories to guide development and configuration work
- Collaborate with software developers and product teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation validation
- Produce reports and data analyses that help leadership track performance and measure program outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, integrations, and change histories
- Serve as a resource for internal teams navigating platform questions and process changes
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a systems analyst, business analyst, or similar role
- Strong ability to translate non-technical business needs into structured requirements and specifications
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Proficiency with data analysis tools; experience with SQL or reporting platforms is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in workforce development, human services, or mission-driven technology environments is a plus but not required
