The System Payroll Application Analyst - Associate role at UVM Medical Center is located in South Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont.
About the Role
This full‑time position supports the payroll application environment for UVM Medical Center’s operations. The associate will work a standard 40‑hour week (80 hours biweekly) on a daytime schedule with no weekend requirements. A six‑month training period is provided at the South Burlington office located at 40 IDX Drive (UVMMC building).
What You'll Do
- Monitor and maintain payroll software to ensure accurate processing of employee compensation.
- Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate fixes with vendors, and document resolutions.
- Assist with configuration changes, updates, and testing of payroll modules.
- Generate routine and ad‑hoc reports for HR, finance, and auditing teams.
- Collaborate with payroll specialists to validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide end‑user support and training on payroll system functionality.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with payroll or HRIS applications (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, including tax calculations, deductions, and garnishments.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing data and system outputs.
- Effective communication abilities for interacting with technical teams and business users.
- Ability to learn quickly during the six‑month on‑site training program.
- Basic knowledge of database concepts and reporting tools is a plus.
