Surgical Tech – CVOR

Join Aequor Healthcare Services, Llc. as a Surgical Tech - CVOR in Palms, Los Angeles County. This part-time position offers a 13-week contract beginning July 6, 2026, with day shift hours to support our cardiovascular operating room team.

About the Role

As a Surgical Tech in our Cardiovascular Operating Room, you'll play a critical role in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. Working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, you'll ensure the surgical environment is optimized for patient safety and procedural success.

What You'll Do

• Prepare the operating room with specialized cardiovascular instruments and equipment before each procedure
• Maintain sterile technique and manage the sterile field throughout all CVOR cases
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies during cardiac and vascular interventions
• Count sponges, instruments, and sharps to ensure proper accountability and patient safety
• Assist with patient positioning and draping for cardiovascular procedures
• Manage and process instruments, including specialized cardiac equipment and implants
• Maintain clear communication with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow

What We're Looking For

• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) or certification eligibility
• Proven experience in a cardiovascular or cardiac operating room environment
• Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical instruments, devices, and procedural techniques
• Ability to maintain focus and composure in a high-acuity surgical setting
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with surgeons and OR staff
• Commitment to strict adherence to sterile protocol and safety standards
