Surgical Services – CVOR Tech

Join Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center as a Surgical Services Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician in Griffith, California. This is a part-time position offering a 13-week assignment supporting our surgical services team.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to provide essential support in our surgical services department. You'll work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure surgical suites are properly prepared and that all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning optimally during procedures.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain cardiovascular operating room equipment and instruments before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Ensure sterile field protocols are maintained throughout surgical cases
• Assist surgical teams by handing instruments and equipment as needed during operations
• Count and account for all surgical supplies and instruments according to hospital standards
• Maintain detailed documentation of materials and supplies used
• Keep operating room areas clean and organized following infection control guidelines
• Support the surgical team in delivering safe, efficient patient care

What We're Looking For

• Current certification or eligibility as a Surgical Services Technician (CST) or equivalent credentials
• Proven experience working in cardiovascular operating rooms
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Ability to maintain strict attention to detail and sterile technique
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a high-pressure surgical environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Position Details

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Duration: 13-week assignment
• Setting: Surgical services department, Griffith, California
