Idaho Power Company is hiring in Idaho City, Boise County, with two openings for a Supplier Relationship Lead or Category Management Lead — a strategic, full-time role for a procurement professional ready to shape how a leading utility partners with its suppliers.
About the Role
As a Supplier Relationship Lead or Category Management Lead at Idaho Power Company, you will guide sourcing strategy and supplier engagement for the organization. Based on-site in the Boise, Idaho area, this position blends category planning, vendor stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver value, reliability, and long-term partnerships across the supply base. This is a regular, exempt, full-time opportunity rather than a remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead category management strategies that align purchasing decisions with company priorities.
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate agreements and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost, and service commitments are met.
- Identify sourcing opportunities, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement throughout the supplier lifecycle.
- Partner with teams across the business to translate operational needs into effective procurement plans.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management, category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Idaho City, Boise County area.
Compensation & Details
- Annual pay range: $116,334.40 – $140,108.80.
- Two positions available.
