About the Role
As a full-time Substitute Custodian with our school district, you'll play an essential role in supporting the daily operations and cleanliness of our educational facilities. This position reports to the Director and focuses on keeping our buildings and grounds in excellent condition so our schools can operate at peak performance.
What You'll Do
- Clean and maintain interior spaces including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas
- Perform grounds maintenance and outdoor area cleaning to keep school property attractive and safe
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment and supplies responsibly
- Respond to maintenance requests and address facility issues promptly
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times
- Support special events and functions by preparing facilities as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in custodial or general maintenance work (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform cleaning duties regularly
- Reliability and consistent attendance
- Willingness to maintain a full-time work schedule
