Position Summary

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Identify, source and purchase electrical and mechanical components, spare parts and related materials required for asset and building maintenance programmes
• Obtain competitive quotations, assess supplier proposals and negotiate commercial terms that protect value and quality standards
• Raise and track purchase orders, confirm delivery schedules and resolve any supply issues promptly so operational teams experience minimal disruption
• Maintain accurate records of spend, contracts and inventory commitments while ensuring compliance with internal buying procedures
• Build productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, including continuous improvement of procurement approaches following the structure and merge updates
• Monitor market conditions for electrical and mechanical products to recommend cost-effective or alternative solutions that align with ongoing maintenance priorities

What We're Looking For

• Proven background in procurement or buying, ideally involving electrical, mechanical or facilities-related categories
• Sound commercial judgement, negotiation ability and attention to contractual detail
• Familiarity with purchase-order systems, supplier performance tracking and cost-control practices
• Clear communication skills suited to working with both technical colleagues and external suppliers
• Adaptability and a willingness to expand knowledge across different facets of asset and building support activities
