Tradewinds Support Partners is hiring a Steel Erection/Metal Building Erection Specialist in Bethesda, Montgomery County for a full-time position. If you have hands-on experience raising and assembling structural steel on commercial projects and want stable work with a growing construction support firm, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll install steel framed structures and be the backbone of our commercial construction operations. You'll work on active job sites performing the physical labor and technical precision that steel erection demands. Your role is critical to the timeline and safety of every project we support.
What You'll Do
- Install and assemble structural steel beams, columns, and frameworks according to project specifications and blueprints
- Operate a range of equipment, power tools, and hand tools used in steel erection work
- Read and interpret technical documents including safety protocols, equipment manuals, and construction drawings
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold
- Follow all safety regulations and best practices to protect yourself and your crew
- Collaborate with supervisors and other crew members to meet daily and project deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in steel erection and structural assembly
- Strong ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety documentation and operating instructions
- Physical capability to perform demanding labor in outdoor environments
- Comfort working at heights and with heavy equipment
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Bethesda and Montgomery County area
- A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professional conduct
