About the Role
As a Starlink Installer with EchoStar, you will be the face of our connectivity services in the field, setting up and configuring Starlink satellite systems at customer sites throughout Byron Center and the wider Kent County area. This is a full-time, on-location position (not remote) ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, and activate Starlink satellite equipment at residential and commercial properties
- Mount hardware safely, route cabling, and verify a strong, stable network connection
- Test installed systems to confirm performance meets EchoStar's quality standards
- Walk customers through their new setup and answer questions about their service
- Keep accurate records of each job and maintain a clean, professional work site
- Represent EchoStar courteously while delivering a smooth installation experience
Qualifications
- Comfort with hands-on installation work, including using tools and working at heights such as rooftops
- Basic technical aptitude for connecting and configuring networking hardware
- Strong customer-service mindset and clear communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow installation procedures safely
- Willingness to travel to job sites across Byron Center and Kent County
- A valid driver's license is typically expected for field-based roles of this kind
