About the Role
As a full-time Standardization Instructor CH47 based in Triana, Madison County, you will deliver classroom, ground, and operational flight training designed to sharpen and advance the capabilities of unit Non-rated Crewmembers. This position calls for a seasoned aviation professional who can teach, assess, and certify crew performance while serving as the team's go-to authority on CH-47 helicopter maintenance and operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide structured instruction, evaluation, and examination across both ground sessions and operational training flights.
- Develop, refine, and upgrade the skills of Non-rated Crewmembers to meet unit standards.
- Lead student training across one or more courses covering all facets of helicopter repair and maintenance.
- Demonstrate and instruct on the correct handling of assigned special tools and equipment.
- Act as the subject matter expert, guiding crews on proper operating procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience instructing and evaluating aircrew, ideally on the CH-47 platform.
- Deep working knowledge of helicopter repair, maintenance, and operational procedures.
- Proficiency with specialized aviation tools and equipment used in crew training.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach personnel toward measurable skill improvement.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Triana, Madison County (this role is not remote).
