Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Modeling)

Square is currently looking for a talented and experienced Staff Machine Learning Modeler to join their Payment credit risk team. We need someone who’s highly motivated and has a background, in developing predictive models to drive credit risk strategies. In this role you’ll be working closely with stakeholders to ensure credit risk management and play a role in shaping the teams long term strategy for payment credit risk modeling.

Your responsibilities will include building machine learning/ learning models for payment credit risk assessment staying up to date with the industry trends in machine learning techniques and collaborating with other data scientists and decision makers to optimize new products, features, policies and models.

To thrive in this position you should have a degree in a related field along with practical experience working with applied Machine Learning or Deep Learning. It would also be beneficial if you are familiar with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies. Expert knowledge of techniques in machine learning and deep learning is essential.
